Kellen Mond rushed for 117 yards, including a season-best, 67-yard touchdown scamper early in the fourth quarter as Texas A&M outmuscled No. 25 Oklahoma State 24-21 on Friday to win the Academy Sports + Outdoors Texas Bowl in Houston.

Mond also passed for 95 yards and a touchdown as the Aggies (8-5) snapped a two-game losing streak and won their second bowl game in two years under coach Jimbo Fisher. Texas A&M has played in a bowl every year since 2009 and is now 6-5 in those games.

Isaiah Spiller added 77 yards on 19 totes for Texas A&M, which outrushed the Cowboys 248-150.

Chuba Hubbard, the nation's leading rusher, racked up 158 yards on 19 carries for Oklahoma State (8-5). It was Hubbard's 11th consecutive game with 100 yards or more on the ground. He finished the year with 2,094 yards, joining Barry Sanders as the only players in school history to rush for more than 2,000 yards in a season.

Dru Brown passed for 184 yards and two touchdowns for the Cowboys in the loss while Braydon Johnson caught five passes for 124 yards and both of Brown's TD throws. Oklahoma State played in a bowl for the 14th straight season and snapped a three-game postseason win streak.

The Cowboys flexed their muscle early on, scoring in the opening quarter on Brown's 42-yard TD pass to Johnson at the 7:47 mark at the end of a 97-yard drive. Oklahoma State added to its lead to 14-0 six minutes later on Brown's 9-yard touchdown run.

Texas A&M got on the board on Spiller's 1-yard scoring plunge with 5:39 to play in the second quarter that culminated a 22-yard drive after a short punt set up the Aggies nearly in the red zone.

Oklahoma State outgained the Aggies 199-140 in the first half with the majority of its yards through the air, where it enjoyed a 130-35 edge. Hubbard had 78 rushing yards on just seven carries over the first 30 minutes.

Texas A&M tied the game at 14-14 early in the third quarter on Mond's 10-yard TD pass to Jhamon Ausbon at the end of a 60-yard, 7-play march.

After Mond's twisting, turning TD run, Seth Small booted a 24-yard field goal to push the Aggies' lead to 24-14 with 2:52 to play.

The Cowboys then scored on a 5-yard pass from Brown to Johnson with 1:04 remaining. But Texas A&M jumped on the ensuing onside kick and was able to run out the clock.
