Emanuel Miller scored a game-high 16 points Monday and Texas A&M recovered from a slow start to stop Wofford 70-52 in a nonconference game in College Station, Texas.

Hassan Diarra came off the bench to add 14 and Jay Jay Chandler tossed in 10 points for the Aggies (5-1, 5-0 SEC), who used a huge advantage in free throws to pull away from the Terriers. Texas A&M went 23 of 35 at the line and Wofford (3-3, 0-2 Southern Conference) was a woeful 4 of 19.

Max Klesmit scored 14 points in a reserve role to pace the Terriers as leading scorer Storm Murphy was held to five shots and six points. Murphy entered the game averaging 19.8 points per game.

Early on, it was all Wofford. Tray Hollowell hit two of the Terriers' 3-pointers in the game's first 3:21, enabling the Terriers to establish a 15-3 lead.

Then, Wofford went ice cold, not scoring for just over nine minutes. The Aggies didn't exactly light up the scoreboard in that span, but were able to tie the score at 15 when Miller drained a jumper at the 7:57 mark.

Murphy finally ended the Terriers' lengthy drought with a 3-pointer, and Wofford pushed the lead back to five points before Texas A&M finally reeled it in for good. The Aggies took the lead for good just before halftime when Diarra took a pass from Miller and stroked a 3-ball to make it 29-28 at intermission.

Texas A&M used pressure defense and foul shooting to take charge in the second half. The Terriers managed only nine field goals after halftime, making just 4 of 18 3-point attempts. Meanwhile, the Aggies marched to the free throw line, hitting 20 of 28 attempts in the half.

Andre Gordon made a 3-pointer with 12:16 left in the game to give Texas A&M its first double-figure lead at 46-36. Wofford never got closer than eight points after that.

The Aggies outscored the Terriers 41-24 in the second half.
